SCENIC ROUTE · WATER TO UNDERGROUND

Hidden chambers.

A one-day contrast between Baofeng Lake's reflective boat circuit and the enclosed, stepped visitor route inside Yellow Dragon Cave.

ONE DAY · TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WORLDS

The day changes
light, scale and sound.

The lake is outward-looking: cliff reflections, open sky and a boat moving between green walls.

The cave reverses the experience. Light becomes artificial, the route becomes enclosed, and walking replaces the calm of the water.

Finish below the surface.

The guide identifies an approximately 7.5 km cave visit on foot. Damp surfaces, steps and enclosed space still matter.

A quiet loop.
A long underground walk.

The official guide calls the second site Huanglong Cave; this page uses the widely understood English name Yellow Dragon Cave. The two experiences are linked by ground transfer, not by a continuous scenic path.

THE HONEST PHYSICAL PICTURE

The boat does not define the whole day.

The lake chapter can feel calm, but the cave chapter is a substantial managed walking route. Visitors should expect enclosed space, damp surfaces and steps rather than treating this as an easy seated day.
